In your role as a Senior Accountant (m/f/x) you collaborate closely with procurement, suppliers, auditors, external tax advisors, accounting partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliant and efficient financial operations while contributing significantly to the companys financial accuracy, control environment, and regulatory compliance.

Your Tasks

You ensure accurate, timely, and compliant Accounts Payable operations across the Contorion group, maintaining full ownership of invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and supplier account management.
You ensure international tax and VAT compliance across jurisdictions, safeguarding correct treatment of cross-border transactions, intercompany activities, and regulatory requirements.
You drive scalable AP processes, automation initiatives, and strong internal controls that support business growth, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.
You deliver accurate month-end and year-end closings by ensuring AP balances, accruals, and reconciliations are complete, transparent, and fully aligned across the group.
You collaborate closely with procurement, suppliers, auditors, external tax advisors, accounting partners, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure compliance, and continuously improve financial operations.

Your Profile

You bring several years of accounts payable and general accounting experience, including senior-level responsibility, ideally within high-volume, e-commerce, marketplace, or international multi-entity environments.
You have strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), VAT regulations, and international tax compliance, including intra-community acquisitions, reverse-charge mechanisms, and import VAT.
You demonstrate expertise across the full AP cycle, month-end and year-end close processes, auditor coordination, and collaboration with external tax and accounting advisers, combined with a structured, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven approach.
You have knowledge of Oracle Fusion or a comparable ERP system, which is preferred, and advanced Excel skills that are essential to support efficient financial operations and reporting.
You have professional working proficiency in English and at least B1-level proficiency in German.
